# Motion Craft

Craft first. Render. Look at frames. Fix. Ship only after a clean pass.

Inspired by community Remotion motion-craft rules (MIT), rewritten for any Grok video host. Not official Remotion docs. Do not paste API references.

Read `references/motion-craft-rules.md` before you animate. Fill `templates/scene-beat-sheet.md` and `templates/theme-tokens.md`. Run `templates/verify-checklist.md` before delivery.

## When to use
- Motion graphics, intro/outro, kinetic type, "make this less generic"
- Editing an existing short that feels flat

## When NOT to use
- Slack GIFs (slack-gif)
- Static posters (canvas-poster)
- A concat-only cut with no motion design (shot-to-cut)

## Inputs
- Length, aspect, fps
- Brand colors if any
- Assets (stills, clips, logo, VO)

## Procedure
1. Scope duration, fps, size, assets. Prefer 30 fps unless the motion is fast.
2. Write theme tokens first. No raw hex later except through that file.
3. Beat-sheet every scene: hit, hold, build, hit. Something moves in the first half-second.
4. Apply every rule in `references/motion-craft-rules.md`.
5. Render. Extract stills at several times. Look at them. Fix spacing, overflow, early/late elements, contrast, layer order.
6. Re-render. Do not describe the video as a substitute for looking.

## Safety
- Original motion and assets. No living-artist clones. No real-person deepfakes.
- No paid gen-API keys. Local or host-native tools only.
- No secrets in theme files.

## Stop conditions
- Clean verify pass, or refused for copyright/safety
